The essentials

No account is required. We do not operate a cloud service that receives your transferred files. The free app includes compact Google AdMob banner ads. Google may process advertising and device information; local file transfer continues when ads are unavailable or consent does not permit them.

Files you choose to share

The app reads files and folders you select, imports copies into its local storage and lets you organize, preview, export and delete them. File names, folder names, sizes and dates are used to display and manage your shared files. The app does not supply file names, file contents, local transfer URLs or transfer history to AdMob as advertising or targeting data.

If you import from iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider may download the selected items under its own policies. If you export to another app or service, the destination receives what you choose to share. Device backups and exported copies are controlled by your device settings and the relevant provider.

Local network transfers

With your local network permission, the app runs a web server while sharing is enabled and the app remains open. Devices on your Wi-Fi or personal hotspot can access the displayed address to browse, upload and download shared files. The app uses local IP addresses and Bonjour discovery to make this connection. These connection details are not sent to a developer-operated service.

The transfer page uses local HTTP. Use a trusted private network and stop sharing when you finish. Devices that can reach the transfer address may access the shared files while sharing is on. A QR code or short local address is a connection method, not a password.

Advertising and privacy choices

The app integrates Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). It requests non-personalized advertising, disables Google's publisher first-party ID and does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission or permission to access the IDFA.

Google may process connection and device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions and diagnostic information to deliver, measure and protect advertising. Non-personalized ads still involve data processing. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner apps.

UMP determines whether privacy messages or a privacy choices entry point are required. The app waits for the SDK to permit ad requests. Where available, use Privacy choices in the app to review or change your decision. Required consent preferences are stored by UMP. You can use file transfer without agreeing to personalized advertising; this app requests non-personalized ads regardless.

Ads require internet access and may be unavailable in some places or sessions. An ad failure never blocks file transfer. The app has no full-screen, rewarded or app-open advertisements.

Optional ad removal

You may make a one-time In-App Purchase to remove banner ads. Apple handles payment and account information; we do not receive your payment card details. The app uses verified StoreKit transaction information to recognize, restore or revoke ad removal. It does not send your purchase transaction to a developer server or use it for ad targeting. The price is provided by the App Store for your storefront.

Storage and deletion

Imported files and app settings remain on the device until you remove them or delete the app. Offloading the app may retain its documents. Deleting a file here does not delete copies already downloaded, exported or backed up elsewhere. Manage those copies with the relevant device or provider.

Google handles the retention of information it receives under its own privacy policy. Deleting this app does not automatically delete information already held by Google. Review Google's privacy controls or contact Google for those requests.

Permissions and device services

The app uses access to selected files and local network permission for sharing. Manage Local Network access in iOS Settings. It does not ask for contacts, precise location, microphone or tracking permission. Apple services, the App Store and any device diagnostics you choose to share with Apple are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

WiFi File Shuttle is a general-purpose file utility and is not specifically directed to children. If you believe personal information relating to a child has been sent directly to support, contact us to request its deletion.

Support and your requests

When you email yavuzalper@me.com, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond, investigate the issue and maintain a record of your request. Please send only information needed for support.

You can use that address to ask about, correct or request deletion of information you have sent to us, or to raise a privacy concern. Rights may depend on where you live. We cannot access or delete local files on your devices or information held independently by Google or other providers.

This website

This support website contains no advertising scripts or analytics trackers. It stores only your selected language in browser local storage when you choose one; you can remove it by clearing this site's browser data. GitHub Pages receives ordinary request information needed to serve the site. See GitHub's privacy statement.

Updates and contact
