WiFi File Shuttle turns your iPhone or iPad into a simple place to exchange files with nearby devices. Start a transfer, scan the QR code or enter the local address, and manage your shared files in a browser.
Your files travel directly between devices. The app does not upload them to a developer-operated cloud. It is free to use, supported by compact Google banner ads that do not cover transfer controls.

Choose your files
Open Files in the app and import what you want to share. You can also add files to the app's folder in Apple's Files app.

Start a transfer
Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network, or connect the other device to your iPhone's personal hotspot. Open Transfer and start sharing.

Open it in a browser
Scan the QR code or type the displayed local address in a browser. Upload or download files, keep the app open during the transfer, and stop sharing when you're done.
Use a trusted private network. Anyone who can reach the local transfer address may access shared files while sharing is on.

Keep the app open and sharing on. Check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi or personal hotspot, then use the current QR code. Allow Local Network access in iOS Settings. Guest networks, VPNs or network isolation may prevent devices from reaching each other.
The short .local address doesn't work.
Some browsers and networks cannot resolve local names. Scan the QR code to use the direct IP address instead. Use the complete address, including http:// and the port. An IPv6 address needs its square brackets.
Where do my files go?
Uploads appear in the app's shared files. Downloads are saved by the receiving browser. The app does not send your files to a developer cloud. Files you choose from a cloud provider or share to another app follow that provider's rules.
Why are there ads?
Compact Google banner ads help keep the app free. An optional one-time purchase removes ads; you can restore that purchase with your Apple Account. There are no full-screen ads, paid transfer limits or required app accounts. Ad loading needs an internet connection; a failed ad never blocks local transfers. Privacy choices appear in the app when required.
