Help with your music library, playback and file transfers in Local Music Player Offline for iPhone and iPad.

Add your music

  1. Open the app and tap the add button in Library.
  2. Choose audio files or a folder from Files, iCloud Drive or connected storage.
  3. Keep the app open while the import finishes. Your songs appear in Library and Folders.

You can also copy files into the app’s folder in Files, or use Finder file sharing on a Mac. Download cloud files to your device before importing if the provider is unavailable.

Transfer over Wi-Fi

Connect both devices to the same trusted local network. In the app, open Settings → Wi-Fi Transfer, turn transfer on, and enter the displayed address in a browser on your other device. Include http:// and the port number. Keep the app open during transfer.

If the page does not open, allow Local Network access in iOS Settings, check that both devices are on the same network, and try a network without guest-device isolation. Turn Wi-Fi Transfer off when you finish.

Find a song or its original folder

Search has Songs, Albums and Artists tabs, with Play and Shuffle for the selected results. Open a song’s options and choose Show in Folder to jump to its location. The app briefly highlights the file.

Share a song

Open the Now Playing screen and tap the share icon in the upper-left corner. Choose a destination in the iOS share sheet to share the current audio file. Only share files you have permission to distribute.

Supported audio and playback

Common formats include FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, MP3 and AAC. DSF and uncompressed DFF files are converted from DSD to PCM for playback. Output quality depends on your device and connected audio equipment.

If a file will not play, confirm that it is fully downloaded and is not protected by a subscription service or DRM. Try another local audio file. For sound differences, check the equalizer, Sound Normalizer and your device volume.

Lyrics and playlists

Place an LRC file with the same base filename beside a song for synchronized lyrics, or use a matching TXT file for plain lyrics. The app also reads supported embedded lyrics. It does not download lyrics from the internet.

Create playlists in the Playlists tab or import M3U/M3U8 files with your music. Imported playlists need access to the audio files they reference.

Keep a copy of your collection

Deleting a song from the device removes its local audio file. Deleting the app removes its local library and settings. Keep a separate copy of important music and playlists before deleting files or uninstalling.
