Local Music Player

Privacy policy

Local Music Player Offline is an audio player for files you supply. It is developed by Yavuz Yigitoglu and is designed to play and organize your music on your device.

Effective date: September 7, 2026

Data stays on your device

The app does not require an account and does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer through an analytics, advertising or tracking service. It does not sell personal information or track you across apps or websites.

Music files, file metadata, artwork, lyrics, playlists, favorites, play counts, playback history and settings are stored locally to provide the player’s features. Smart EQ and loudness analysis run on the device. The app does not upload your library to a developer-operated server or download lyrics from an online service.

Files you choose to import or share

When you import music, the app reads the files and folders you choose and copies the imported files into its own storage. If you select files from iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider handles the download under its own terms and privacy policy.

If you use the system share sheet, the destination app or service receives the files you choose to share. Copies you export or share remain under your control and the recipient’s policies.

Optional local Wi-Fi transfers

Wi-Fi Transfer is optional and requires local network permission. While it is enabled and the app is open, the app runs a local web server so another device can browse, upload and download library files using the displayed address.

Transfers take place between your devices rather than through a developer-operated cloud service. The local transfer page uses HTTP. Use a trusted private network, share the address only with people you trust, and turn Wi-Fi Transfer off when you finish. Other devices that can reach that address may access the transfer page while it is enabled.

Device permissions and Apple services

The app uses file access to import your selected music and local network access when you enable Wi-Fi Transfer. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings.

Features provided by the operating system, such as iCloud device backups, AirPlay, Bluetooth, App Store purchases, ratings and optional diagnostic sharing, are subject to your device settings and the relevant provider’s policies. See Apple’s privacy policy.

Storage and deletion

You can remove local music with Delete from Device or through Files. Deleting the app removes its locally stored library, playlists and settings. Offloading an app can retain its documents and data. Device backups, exported copies and files held by other providers may remain until you remove them separately.

Keep a separate copy of music you want to retain before deleting files or uninstalling the app.

Contacting support

If you email yavuzalper@me.com, your email address and the information you include are received through the email service and used to answer your request and investigate the issue. This information is provided by you when you contact support; it is not collected automatically by the app.

Do not include passwords, sensitive personal information or files you do not have permission to share. You can use the same email address to ask about or request deletion of information you have sent to support.

This support website

This website does not include an advertising service, an analytics tracker or a contact form. Visiting it sends ordinary request information, such as an IP address and browser information, to the hosting infrastructure needed to deliver the page. The site is hosted using GitHub Pages; the hosting service’s practices are described in GitHub’s privacy statement.

Changes and questions

This policy may be updated when the app or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current policy.
